What to Make
Avión Old School
By Avión Tequila
2 oz. Avión Añejo
½ oz. Simple syrup
1 Orange slice
Dash of bitters
Garnish: Orange peel
Muddle cherry, orange, bitters and simple syrup. Add Avión Añejo, ice & shake well. Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice and garnish with orange peel.

2 parts Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur
2 parts grapefruit juice
1 part lime juice
2 parts Jarritos de toronja (grapefruit flavor)
Garnishes: Grapefruit slice and salt
Build into a highball over ice, garnish with a salt rim and grapefruit slice
The Ideal Margarita

2 oz. tequila
1 oz. Royal Rose REAL Sour Mix
½ oz. Cointreau
Garnish: Lime wedge
2 parts New Amsterdam® Vodka
2 dashes Tabasco sauce
Top w/ ginger beer or ginger ale
Garnish: Lime wedge
Build directly into a rocks glass with ice and stir briefly. Garnish with a lime wedge
Combine ingredients with ice and shake; strain into a chilled cocktail glass or serve on the rocks with a lime wedge.
Los Lagos Chilero

2 oz. Los Lagos Liqueur
1 oz. Mezcal Marca Negra
Marca Negra Sal de Gusano (for rim)
Mix Los Lagos Liqueur and Mezcal with ice and strain into glass rimmed with Sal de Gusano. Top with sparkling water to taste.
Cinco de Laphroaig®
1½ parts Laphroaig® 10 Year Old
Garnish: Lime Wedge
Pour the Laphroaig® 10 Year Old into a Collins glass with ice. Top with Mexican Cola and garnish with a wedge of lime.

1½ oz. Simple Syrup
3 oz. Tequila
½ oz. Olive Juice
Shake with ice, pour into martini glass, garnish with olives and enjoy.

The gastropub inside the W Hotel Dallas is offering a Texas Style Smoked Brisket Tamale for $6, a Jalapeno Margarita for $5 and Corona and Dos Equisfor $3. The special is available from 4-10pm.
Classic and frozen margaritas will be offered for $5 all day; a live band performs starting at 5 p.m.
The Tex-Mex cantina is offering $4 house margs in a souvenir cup, as well as shots for $2, $3 and $4. And, bonus – designated drivers get a complimentary soda, coffee or tea.
The West Village bar-restaurants is offering $10 Cinco de Mayo Nachos (above; creamy poblano sauce, adobe chicken, jalapeños, pickled onions, gueso fresco and chopped cilantro, and tortilla chips) and Recess (happy hour) process cocktails through 11 p.m.
The upscale Tex-Mex chain is featuring two cocktails: The new Verde Infusion ‘Rita – Cucumber-infused Montelobos Mezcal with Milagro Silver, fresh lime juice and agave nectar for $12. And the Cinco ‘Rita – A smooth mix of Silver Cabo Wabo, Hornitos, Cazadores, Herradura, and of course, Giro and Cointreau Orange Liqueur, lime juice and agave nectar for $11.50. Plus, the Addison, Frisco, Grapevine and Lewisville locations are hosting parties featuring live bands or DJs.
In addition to $3 margaritas served all weekend, the beloved local burger joint is serving up its burger of the month, the South of the Border Burger: a handmade 100% fresh ground chuck burger topped with fresh grilled jalapeños, guacamole, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, two bean and cheese nacho chips, chorizo and chipotle mayo. The burger is available through May 31 for $8.99.
